Many of my clients come to me and say they do not look how they want to, thus causing them to feel negatively about their self image. My patients want to be able to look in the mirror and love what they see. I do believe social media and the pressure from celebrities plays a part in this. Never before in history have we been under the microscope as we are today.
“Im sick of having to use filters when taking pictures or spending so much money and effort on makeup that washes off after 24 hours” is just one example of what my patients are telling me.
My job and also responsibility as an aesthetics specialist is to ensure that I provide the greatest degree of impact and improvement to the patient. This means not only meeting their expectations, but superseding them.
The consultation is one of the most important elements of the whole experience and execution of the final result. I like to take my time and talk at great lengths to my patients during this first meeting.
I generally set aside 1 hour during a first consult so the patient and I can get to know one another and build an effective rapport. We then begin a detailed assessment plan which is based on their ideas, concerns and expectations.
Having a shared understanding of what the true result should be with the patient is integral to moving forward and having an effective relationship. If we do not share the same ideas of what the aesthetic ideal should be which is based on factual geometrics of beauty in keeping with ‘The Golden Ratio’ or ‘Phi’ then we can not continue.
The patient and I ultimately will share and unite our concerns and specific ideas in the assessment plan and come together in the final treatment and execution of the result which respects the budget and time scale for the patient.
The aim is to meet the expectations of the patients, but not only that, the best technicians will surpass them and this is often what is reported back to us from previous patients.
Currently the trends from the patients are that of a more natural look, they do not want to be detected and so demand a very high profile and result. The older patients are generally more concerned with the emotions they feel their facial posture and resting expressions make. For example, the loss of volume near the crease of the mouth that results in the marionette lines makes the patient look sad. They want to address this and look more serene, happy and refreshed whilst upholding the natural look.
Trends however are highly subjective parameters and so we must assess each patient individually and treat them differently.
With there being over 200 dermal fillers to choose from we can often become frustrated and confused as to what we need or what is best for us. When choosing a product, there are 3 key factors to consider, these are:
1. Its safety
2. Its efficacy
3. Its duration
Here at Deep Aesthetics we only use the leading products in the market which are Juvederm and Revolax.
Microneedling has surged in popularity worldwide due to its effectiveness and efficiency when it comes to handling common skin problems like stretch marks, ageing, wrinkles, fine lines, hair loss, acne scars, hyperpigmentation and so much more.
Dermapen is a small device that resembles a pen and is generally used for microneedling on people with skin issues and the end product is a tightened, refreshed and glowing skin. We get ask all the time what is Dermapen? Our answer is simple put a a very popular dermatology microneedling treatment device that has been embraced all over the world.
A Dermapen has 12 needles on the very tip and these 12 needles are the ones that are used to puncture the top layer of the skin as the Dermapen glides over the area being treated. Usually, the Dermapen will be positioned vertically over the skin and when it is turned on, a motor that is found inside the pen will start making the needles to move rapidly back and forth on the skin surface creating the punctures and these needles have been created in such a way that they can rotate in a slight way. These punctures created in the process are usually aimed at opening up the pores for a period of time only.
When a person hurts themselves, the skin will generally initiate skin repair by stimulating growth factors that will, in turn, lead to the generation of collagen and elastin. Therefore, when the punctures are made using the Dermapen, the skin will treat the punctures as wounds and therefore initiate healing. This means that micro-needling tend to trick the skin to produce collagen and elastin to promote ‘healing’ and the effect will be a refreshed skin.
Dermapen is used mostly for face wrinkles, scars, stretch marks and facial lines. When one is injured and the skin forms a scar, or if they have a stretch mark the body will treat these as though that area was repaired. Therefore having the punctures created in the scar tissue will cause the skin to initiate healing and, therefore, the damaged skin will tend to get eliminated and replaced with new skin. For wrinkles and face lines, basically, the produced collagen and elastin will cause the skin to thicken and also tighten leaving the skin looking youthful.
Generally, Dermapen has been effective and quite advantageous over other skin treatment procedures. This has seen to it that its popularity keeps growing by the day.

Microneedling being the advanced skincare treatment will reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, scarring, sun damage, improves the skin tone and texture, and give you plumper and smoother skin. As the treatment improves your skin’s ability to self-repair by producing new collagen and elastin, you will see the exceptional results with minimal downtime. You will have the firmer skin and more youthful skin with this safe, chemical free treatment.
The microneedling procedure is easily tolerated by almost every patient and it can be tailored by going deeper in the specific areas where skin damage needs a stronger approach.
When you start this treatment, after one or two treatments, you will see the reduced signs of the following: wrinkles and fine lines, scarring, enlarged pores, acne, stretch marks
Skin should be makeup-free and cleaned thoroughly
Avoid any auto-immune therapies or products 12 hours before the treatment
Avoid prolonged sun exposure to the treatment area 24 hours before the treatment
You should stay away from the alcohol based products for the first 24 hours as that can make your skin extremely dry
Avoid direct sunlight for 24 hours
Do not apply any sunscreen, tanning lotion or any other skincare products because
your skin’s micro channels are open for a period of time and also because many of the skincare products have toxic ingredients
Do not apply any kind of makeup for at least 12 hours
Wash your face thoroughly after the microneedling facial treatment with Dermapen
Avoid direct sun exposure for minimum 10 days
Do not use alcohol-based toners for at least 15 days
When you are going for microneedling treatment, you won’t get the results after the first treatment but will need multiple treatments. How many treatments you need depends upon which skin area you want to treat and what you want to achieve. Generally to treat basic skin problems, one will need three to six microneedling treatments for the best results.
If you want to treat the extreme sun damage, deep wrinkles or scars, you will have to go for 6 or more microneedling treatments.
As microneedling Dermapen has the fine needles with which the treatment is carried, there are many people who are afraid that the needles may hurt them. But, actually, it is just a myth. Using Dermapen will just give you the tingling and the light prickly sensation. Obviously, you won’t feel good, but at the same time, there will be no pain at all. You will just have the temporary reddening for hardly 1-2 hours after the microneedling facial.
One of the best benefits of this treatment is that it doesn’t make use of any chemical solutions for revitalizing your skin.
There is no pain and minimal downtime
If compared to laser treatment, microneedling causes negligible pain, swelling and redness
Removes scars and skin lesions
Improves your skin tone
Reduces the unpleasant skin pigmentation
The bottom line is that microneedling facial is the best cosmic treatments for the people who want to reverse the sign of aging but don’t want to use chemical peels or want to avoid surgery and invasive treatments.
