Endolaser for Loose Stomach Skin: Does It Work?

Endolaser for loose stomach skin may help selected patients with mild-to-moderate abdominal skin laxity, particularly when small areas of localised fat also affect the contour. However, it cannot remove large amounts of excess skin, repair separated abdominal muscles or guarantee the result of a tummy tuck.

Loose abdominal skin can develop after pregnancy, weight loss, ageing or changes in body composition. The visible concern may involve skin laxity alone, localised subcutaneous fat, muscle separation or a combination of these factors. Identifying the main cause matters because they do not all respond to the same treatment.

At Deep Aesthetics, we assess loose abdominal skin, localised fat, medical history and treatment goals before recommending Endolaser Stomach & Abdomen treatment. The aim is to decide whether a minimally invasive approach is appropriate and what degree of cosmetic change is realistic.

In this guide, we explain how Endolaser is used for loose stomach skin, who may be suitable, what the research shows, how it differs from tummy tuck and liposuction, recovery, results and the questions worth asking before treatment.

What Causes Loose Stomach Skin?

Loose stomach skin develops when the abdominal skin and supporting tissue lose elasticity or remain stretched after changes in body shape.

Pregnancy and significant weight change are common examples. Ageing can also reduce skin elasticity, while localised subcutaneous fat may make abdominal laxity appear more pronounced.

However, a “loose stomach” can describe several different concerns.

Main concern What may be involved Endolaser relevance
Mild loose skin Reduced skin firmness May be considered
Loose skin + small fat pocket Skin laxity and subcutaneous fat May be considered
Significant hanging skin Large excess-skin fold Minimally invasive treatment may be insufficient
Muscle separation Abdominal wall / diastasis Endolaser does not repair muscles
Visceral abdominal fat Fat deeper around organs Not a target for cosmetic Endolaser
Major weight-loss skin excess Substantial redundant tissue Surgical assessment may be more appropriate

This distinction prevents a skin-tightening treatment from being expected to solve a structural problem it cannot correct.

Does Endolaser Work on Loose Stomach Skin?

Endolaser may improve selected abdominal laxity by delivering controlled laser energy beneath the skin, where the treatment is intended to affect selected soft tissue and stimulate tissue remodelling.

Research on related laser-assisted techniques provides some evidence for abdominal skin contraction.

A 2026 study followed 59 patients undergoing abdominal laser-assisted lipolysis/lipolysis and measured an average 1.9 cm reduction in vertical supraumbilical skin distance at three months. Greater pre-treatment skin elasticity was associated with greater retraction.

This is relevant because it supports the importance of patient selection and starting skin quality.

However, the study involved a specific laser-assisted protocol. It should not be interpreted as guaranteeing the same measurement after every Endolaser system or treatment plan.

What Does Earlier Research Show?

A randomised split-abdomen study involving 10 women with mild-to-moderate laxity compared laser-assisted treatment with liposuction alone.

At one and three months, skin shrinkage was greater on the laser-treated abdominal areas. At three months, measurements also showed greater skin tightening on the laser-treated side.

Another small abdominal study measured skin contraction after controlled laser lipolysis. It reported approximately 9.1% contraction at three months and 7.6% at six months in the specifically treated superficial zone. Only three women participated, so the result should be treated as preliminary evidence rather than a universal expectation.

These studies support the biological potential for laser-assisted tissue contraction, but they do not provide a guaranteed Endolaser result.

Who May Be Suitable?

Endolaser is more logically considered when the abdominal concern is mild-to-moderate skin laxity, selected localised fat, or both.

Suitable treatment cannot be determined from age alone.

A consultation should assess:

  • how much loose skin is present
  • skin elasticity and quality
  • whether localised subcutaneous fat contributes
  • previous pregnancy or weight change
  • scars or previous abdominal procedures
  • stable versus changing body weight
  • whether muscle separation is present
  • the degree of cosmetic change expected

Can Endolaser Remove Belly Fat?

Endolaser may form part of a treatment plan for selected localised subcutaneous fat, but it is not a weight-loss treatment and it does not target visceral abdominal fat.

The appropriate wording here is laser lipolysis or non-surgical fat reduction, not liposuction.

A 2023 study involving 10 patients evaluated a specific Endolift® laser protocol for fat reduction in the arms and lower abdomen and reported reductions in measured circumference. Because this research used the branded Endolift® technology, it should not be assumed to demonstrate identical results from another Endolaser platform.

Endolift® is a registered trademark. Deep Aesthetics is not affiliated with, authorised by, or a registered provider of Endolift®.

For Endolaser, the treatment goal should be selected contour improvement rather than general weight reduction.

Loose Skin vs Belly Fat

Loose skin and abdominal fat can appear together, but treating one does not automatically correct the other. If the main issue is lax skin with good underlying abdominal contour, treatment planning may focus primarily on tightening.

If a small pocket of subcutaneous fat also contributes, laser lipolysis may form part of the treatment strategy.

By contrast, someone with significant abdominal fullness caused by visceral fat will not obtain meaningful correction of that deeper fat from a cosmetic subdermal procedure.

This is why assessment is more important than simply asking whether Endolaser “works on the stomach”.

Can Endolaser Help After Pregnancy?

Endolaser may be considered for selected post-pregnancy skin laxity after appropriate assessment, but it cannot repair abdominal muscle separation or remove substantial redundant skin. Pregnancy can affect several layers at once: skin, subcutaneous tissue and abdominal muscles.

If the main concern is relatively mild laxity, a minimally invasive tightening procedure may be worth discussing.

However, significant diastasis recti, hernia or large amounts of excess skin require a different assessment.

Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding should disclose this during consultation, and treatment timing should be discussed appropriately.

Can It Help After Weight Loss?

Endolaser may be more relevant when weight loss leaves mild-to-moderate skin laxity rather than a large hanging skin fold.

The amount of redundant tissue matters.

Someone who has lost a modest amount of weight and retains reasonable skin elasticity is anatomically different from someone who has undergone major weight loss and has extensive excess abdominal skin.

The 2026 abdominal laser study also found that pre-treatment elasticity influenced measured skin retraction, reinforcing why baseline skin quality matters.

Endolaser vs Tummy Tuck

These procedures offer very different degrees of correction.

Endolaser Tummy tuck
Minimally invasive Surgical
Targets selected soft tissue Removes excess abdominal skin
May support mild-to-moderate tightening Can address substantial skin excess
Does not repair muscle separation Muscle repair may be performed surgically
Usually shorter recovery More extensive surgical recovery
No surgical-level result guaranteed Greater structural correction possible

Endolaser should therefore not be marketed as a “tummy tuck without surgery”.

For substantial loose skin or abdominal-wall concerns, surgical assessment may provide a more realistic option.

Endolaser vs Liposuction

Endolaser is not surgical liposuction.

Traditional liposuction mechanically removes subcutaneous fat through suction. Endolaser uses an optical fibre and laser energy within selected tissue and may be discussed as an option for laser lipolysis, skin tightening and selected non-surgical fat reduction.

Research comparing laser-assisted liposuction with standard liposuction is useful scientifically because it shows how thermal laser energy may influence tissue contraction. However, those surgical studies should not be presented as though they describe the exact Deep Aesthetics procedure.

When Will Results Appear?

Endolaser stomach results should not be judged immediately after treatment because swelling and tissue response can temporarily alter the contour.

Research examining laser-assisted abdominal tightening commonly measures results after several weeks or months rather than only on treatment day.

The 2026 abdominal study measured patients at one week, three weeks and three months. Measurable skin retraction developed over that follow-up period.

For this reason, before-and-after photography should use similar lighting, position and timing.

Patients can also review our Endolaser Before and After guide for advice on interpreting treatment photographs.

What Is Recovery Like?

Recovery varies according to treatment area, protocol and individual response. Temporary swelling, tenderness, bruising or altered sensation may occur after minimally invasive laser treatment.

The abdomen is a larger treatment area than many facial Endolaser procedures, so recovery should be discussed during consultation rather than assumed from a facial-treatment example.

Your treating practitioner should explain activity restrictions and follow-up based on your individual procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Endolaser tighten loose stomach skin?

Endolaser may improve selected mild-to-moderate abdominal skin laxity. The degree of visible change depends on skin quality, starting laxity, anatomy, treatment planning and individual tissue response.

Can Endolaser remove loose skin?

It may tighten selected lax tissue but does not surgically remove skin. Large amounts of redundant abdominal skin may require surgical assessment.

Does Endolaser reduce belly fat?

Selected localised subcutaneous fat may form part of treatment planning. Endolaser is not a weight-loss treatment and does not target deeper visceral abdominal fat.

Is Endolaser good after pregnancy?

It may be considered for selected post-pregnancy skin laxity. However, it cannot repair diastasis recti or other abdominal-wall problems.

Can Endolaser replace a tummy tuck?

Not in every case. A tummy tuck can remove substantial excess skin and may repair abdominal muscles, while Endolaser is a minimally invasive treatment for more selected concerns.

When do stomach results appear?

Some change may be visible earlier, but tissue remodelling and recovery occur over time. Published abdominal laser studies commonly assess outcomes over several months.

Are Endolaser stomach results guaranteed?

No. Skin quality, anatomy, amount of laxity, localised fat and individual response influence results. No specific degree of tightening or contour change can be guaranteed.

Final Thoughts

Endolaser for loose stomach skin may be useful for selected patients with mild-to-moderate abdominal laxity, particularly when a small amount of localised subcutaneous fat is also present.

It is not a replacement for every tummy tuck, does not repair abdominal muscle separation and should not be presented as surgical liposuction.

Current abdominal laser research supports the possibility of measurable skin retraction, but studies use different devices and protocols. Individual assessment remains essential.

At Deep Aesthetics, we assess patients in Stratford, London and Birmingham based on anatomy, skin quality and realistic cosmetic goals before recommending Endolaser Stomach & Abdomen treatment.

Individual results vary, and no specific cosmetic outcome can be guaranteed.
